I agree completely with AH's comments about the media's unhealthy focus on the daily polls.
Previous post continued: Unfortunately I have to confess to having become hopelessly addicted to them as well. But what I don't understand is why no one is talking about the electoral college stats. If you are going to be obsessed with polls you might as well look at the bigger picture. And the electoral college forecast diverges drastically from this current "dead heat" that the popular opinion polls seem to portray. Which suggests that perhaps the Obama campaign is not overly concerned about the daily polls, given the tight ship they have been running strategically.
[this is good]
Bob Scheer stated that he was the only one of the panelists alive during the Great Depression, thereby inferring that his comparison of the Great Depression and today's economy was the only valid point of view. Scheer was born in 1936. Tell us about how hard your life was between ages zero and four years old, Scheer. Did you have to go out and sell apples on the street? How you must have suffered in those long soup lines?

Scheer, everything is the worst it has ever been in your eyes. As soon as one of your socialist friends is elected, all will be wonderful. Therefore, I, for one, hope you will always be a miserable old windbag.
